If the router is not completely configured correctly after a factory reset, YOU MUST PREFORM ANOTHER FACTORY RESET to get back into the web utility!!!! I know because I tried it!!!!!!!!! Powered off the router and decided to reset router to factory settings.
Why ?!?!?!? )and I was able to access the internet on my small p2p network of nodes. But, I noticed that the DHCP server function was working ( Scratching head. Once connected, I attempted to use the web utility to close the DMZ port that was previously left open. Sixty minutes later, I connected the equipment again. I powered off and disconnected all devices on the network. I didn't want to risk that so I purchased the Linksys just in case.įirst and again. The users were unable to downgrade back to the original firmware. By all accounts from other users with the exact same router, due to problems with the router a firmware upgrade was attempted and failed. I was still unable to get to the configuration utility. I just read the 'Read This Before Posting!'Įventhough, I powered off the D-Link DI-704 router. This was moved from Ameritech forum to this one to get help with answers from the D-Link product forum.
